Pictures from the Edge of Somewhere

What, or where, in, or out of, the World is this?

What, or where, in, or out of, the World is this? And why all the questions? And the commas?

So, here are some pictures of… what do you think? Where was I when I took them? A hint: it wasn’t the Limery.

A volcano? An icy, melting glacier?

A volcano? An icy, melting glacier perhaps?

Perhaps this is the edge of space, looking from some ancient world...

Perhaps this is the edge of space, looking from some ancient world…

...or maybe the rich tar deposits of, er, the road.

…or maybe the rich tar deposits of, er, the road.

Actually, there are pictures of the inside of…

The Humble Repository of potential landscapes

…the Kelly Kettle. It was one of those things – I wondered if I should clean the inside of it or not and ended up taking photographs instead. Then, NASA kindly put up some pictures of Pluto, which looked unnervingly familiar:

Now if there is a small Universe on the inside of my Kelly Kettle, and there is intelligent life* in it, I just want to say this: it’s tea time soon and I’ll be boiling water so you may want to change into something cooler, like an ice age.

oOo

* But I’m not saying how I might define ‘intelligent life’. Some days, the cushion covers can outsmart me.

  1. HAHAHAHAHA! And THIS sir, is why I follow your blog :). Humour makes the world go round and whether you can understand a word the other person is saying or not is irrelevant if you can make them laugh. You just made me laugh at 6.09am Mr Snail. I would call that a solid score 🙂
